COVID-19 Practices and Policies
OrthoMichigan is striving to be proactive in protecting our patients and staff during this time so we have implemented these policies to keep everyone safe. These policies are in place at all of our locations.
All staff is to wear a face mask at all times.
Disinfecting wipes are available and should be used by all staff to disinfect surfaces, door knobs, and light switches throughout the day.
Medical staff, to include X-ray Technicians and Medical Assistants, will disinfect surfaces and equipment between each patient.
Hand sanitizer is available throughout the office for employee and patients use.
All visitors and patients are to have their temperatures taken at the main entrance.
All visitors and patients are asked to wear a face covering. A disposable mask will be provided to anyone that does not have one.
Anyone displaying symptoms such as a cough, shortness of breath, and elevated temperature will be asked to leave the building and call back to reschedule their appointment.
Patients will be asked to come to appointments alone or with one caregiver only.
Patients will be asked to wait in their vehicle and call the office to let a receptionist know they have arrived. The receptionist will call the patient back when it is time to come into the building.
Social distancing signs are placed throughout the office to remind staff and patients to follow guidelines as is feasible throughout the office.
Telehealth visits will be offered to patients meeting criteria set by the physician.
Patients identifying themselves as “highly vulnerable” will be scheduled in the first hour of the day
