Position: Research Director
​
The Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program in Flint, Michigan, is seeking candidates for an Orthopaedic Research Director position. This could be a part-time or full-time position for an individual with experience in clinical research, orthopaedic epidemiological, biomechanical research, or a closely related field.
The successful candidate will be responsible for interfacing with orthopaedic surgeons, residents, medical students, office, hospital administration and staff, and, potentially, patients. This research director will collaboratively plan, conduct, and publish research in relevant journals on topics of interest to the greater Orthopaedic community. Additionally, this research director should support quality improvement projects aimed at optimizing department function and improving patient care, as well as other efforts that support meeting ACGME residency program requirements.
The successful candidate will have a proven record of relevant research projects and publications and will possess a PhD, MD, DO, MPH, DrPH, RN, NP or similar degree. Preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated a history of journal publications, proficiency with grant writing, IRB review of research, and budget management.
