Position: Foot and Ankle Fellowship Trained Orthopedic Surgeon
We are seeking a fellowship-trained Foot & Ankle Orthopedic Surgeon to join an established orthopedic practice serving Genesee County and the surrounding Mid-Michigan region.
Completion of an accredited Foot & Ankle Orthopedic Surgery fellowship is required.
This position offers the opportunity to build a comprehensive foot and ankle practice with access to area hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers, participate in orthopedic resident education, and pursue a two-year track to partnership.
Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive operative and non-operative foot and ankle care.

Treat a broad range of conditions, including sports injuries, fractures and trauma, arthritis, tendon and ligament disorders, deformities, and complex reconstructive conditions.

Maintain an active outpatient clinical and surgical practice.
-
Perform surgery at affiliated area hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers.
-
Participate in the orthopedic call schedule.
-
Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other members of the care team.
Resident Teaching & Education
The successful candidate will be actively involved in the orthopedic resident teaching program, with opportunities to:

Provide clinical and surgical instruction to orthopedic residents.

Teach in the operating room, clinic, and hospital settings.
-
Participate in case conferences and educational activities.
-
Mentor residents interested in foot and ankle surgery.
Candidates should have a genuine interest in education and mentorship while maintaining a busy clinical practice.
Two-Year Track to Partnership
The position includes a two-year track to partnership for physicians who meet established clinical, professional, and organizational expectations. This opportunity is designed for a surgeon seeking a long-term professional home with the ability to participate in practice leadership, growth, and applicable ownership opportunities.
Required Qualifications

MD or DO Degree
-
Completion of an accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency.

Completion of an accredited Foot & Ankle Orthopedic Surgery fellowship — required.

Board certified or board eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.

Eligible for medical licensure in Michigan.
-
Excellent clinical, surgical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Commitment to patient-centered care, resident education, and collaborative practice.
