Born in Missouri and raised in Michigan, Dr. McClimans earned his undergraduate degree at Northeast Missouri State University and his medical degree at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. His post-education included an internship at Genesys Regional Medical Center and an orthopedic residency at Hillcrest Health Center in Oklahoma City. Before joining OrthoMichigan in 2007, Dr. McClimans practiced as an orthopedic surgeon for several years with offices in Lapeer and Cass City. Today he serves as the section Chief of Orthoedic Surgery at McLaren Lapeer Regional Hospital and participates in several hospital committees. When he’s not working, Dr. McClimans enjoys spending time with family, watching old western films, rooting on Detroit sports teams, and spending time outdoors.
